About HeadlessHQ
The problem
Most companies hire people to run operations. Then those people spend most of their time on coordination, reporting, and follow-up — not the work itself.
I've spent fifteen years building software companies. At Upverter — a hardware design platform that went through Y Combinator in 2011 and was acquired by Altium — I saw what it took to scale a technical product with a small team. At Sheertex, I led a 30-person engineering org and built Cortex, a software-connected factory operating system that ran real manufacturing processes in real time.
In both companies, the operational overhead was brutal. Every department needed people to run it. Every person needed tools to do their job. Every tool generated more data that someone else had to interpret and act on. The coordination cost of running a company is enormous — and almost none of it is the thing you actually wanted to build.
HeadlessHQ is my answer to that. Not another tool. Not another dashboard. A team of 21 specialized AI agents that handle your marketing, sales, support, finance, engineering, and operations — coordinating with each other, proposing actions for your approval, and executing when you give the sign-off.
What HeadlessHQ is
HeadlessHQ is an AI operations platform. You connect your existing tools — your CRM, your ad platforms, your accounting software, your support desk — and a team of agents starts working across all of them simultaneously.
Every agent is specialized. The Marketing agent generates ad creatives and manages campaigns across Meta, Google, and TikTok. The Finance agent handles invoicing, cash flow, and SR&ED tax credit tracking. The Inbound agent scores and routes leads in real time. The Contracts agent reviews agreements for risk and routes them for e-signature. They don't work in isolation — they share context, hand off to each other, and escalate to you when a human decision is needed.
Nothing goes live without your sign-off. Every action an agent proposes — publishing a campaign, sending an email, issuing an invoice — is reviewed and approved by you before it executes. You can set the threshold: full manual review, auto-approve low-stakes actions, or fully autonomous for trusted workflows. You're always in control.

The founder
I'm Michael Woodworth. I co-founded Upverter in 2010 — an online hardware design platform that went through Y Combinator (W11) and was acquired by Altium. After that I spent several years as VP and EVP of Technology at Sheertex, where I led a 30-person engineering team and built Cortex, a full software-connected factory operating system for their manufacturing line in Montreal.
In early 2026 I started HeadlessHQ because I was tired of watching talented people spend their time on work that software should be doing. I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I'm based in Toronto.
Early access
HeadlessHQ is currently in private beta. We're onboarding a small number of companies who want to move fast and help shape the platform. During beta, access is free. We'll announce pricing before the public launch.
If you're running a team and spending too much time on operations, we'd like to talk. Request access or email hello@headlesshq.com directly.
